William F. Eberlein
William F. Eberlein, age 68, of Rochester, New York, died June 13, 1986, at Rochester.
He was born in Shawano and graduated from Shawano High School. He was also a graduate of Harvard University. He had taught mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Michigan, Harvard University and Oxford University. At the time of his death, he was professor emeritus of mathematics at the University of Rochester, New York. He was the son of the late Judge and Mrs. M.G. Eberlein.
He is survived by seven children, Patrick Eberlein, Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Kathryn Klaber, Cleveland, Ohio; Michael Eberlein, Lewiston, Idaho; Robert Eberlein, Washington, D.C.; Sarah Wells, Mary Wells and Kristin [sic] Eberlein, all of Rochester, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Judge M.G. Eberlein, Shawano, Dr. Walter R. Eberlein, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Frederic Eberlein, Shawano. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Volkman.
Funeral services were held at the Interfaith Chapel at the University of Rochester, conducted by the Society of Friends.
