A ten-week tour through western Europe will start tomorrow for a young Shawano attorney and his wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Eberlein will leave for New York tomorrow morning on the first leg of their journey which will take them to eight European nations before returning them to this country in late August.
The Eberleins plan to sail for Europe June 7 aboard the Queen Elizabeth. Their itinerary calls for visits to eight nations — England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland — and includes side-trips to Heidelberg, Our Lady of Lourdes, the famous Salzburg Music Festival, and a classic boat journey up the Rhine.
Mr. and Mrs. Eberlein sail for the U.S. from LeHavre, France, August 22.

Elizabeth Tarz Eberlein, age 92 of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at her home. Born on November 24, 1918 in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Leo M. and Martha (Payne) Zimmer. On March 17, 1945 she was united in marriage to Frederic Fritz Eberlein in Chicago. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2010. After receiving her masters degree, Elizabeth worked as a teacher in the City of Chicago. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano where she was active in various organizations within the church. She was also a member and former president of the Womans Club and the Golf Club. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, painting, canoeing, bike riding, reading, basket making, carving, knitting, and playing the piano. Elizabeth is survived by: her daughter, Elizabeth (Ian) Redpath of East Amherst, NY; 3 grandchildren, Eric Redpath, Bridget Thompson, Lauren Redpath; and a great-granddaughter, Ainsley Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. Len Evers officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday after 9:30am until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
